What to Wear for Bipolar Weather redtagcrazy.com blog

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

Spring is here and nearly every fashion magazine out there is raving about the new spring and summery clothes. Spring and summer invoke images of short shorts that show off one’s legs, tank tops and dresses. But that’s not exactly what’s “in” on the UPS campus. Well, perhaps I should rephrase that. If I ran around campus in my summer shorts and a tank top, I would most definitely freeze to death.

The weather in Tacoma is rather strange. One might even say it’s bipolar. On the first day of April I got up to go to class and it was snowing. The snow wasn’t sticking and it wasn’t particularly heavy snowing, but the fact of the matter is that it snowed in APRIL. Maybe it was a joke from some supreme being who wanted to participate in April Fools’ Day this year.
Of course the weather isn’t quite so strange now that we are nearing the end of April. There hasn’t been any snow in a few weeks now. Occasionally we’ll get those Hollywood spring days. You know, mac makeup wholesale, the ones where everything is bathed in sunlight and people lay outside and read books and play Frisbee. Sometimes I can even sit on the field near my dorm without getting a wet butt or sinking into the mud! I do still, mac makeup, however, wear my “cold-weather” clothes because those sunny days are far and few in between. The most common weather lately has been along the lines of: cloudy/rainy then a sunny interlude and back to clouds, gray skies and rain. All in all, the weather in Tacoma is rather bipolar.

So what does one wear? Like most people on campus, I go for a practical layering approach. For a normal day of classes, I tend to favor a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, hoodie, my ever-practical converse and, depending on the weather, cheap mac makeup, perhaps a scarf. This assemble assures me that I’ll be warm when the sun decides to go in hiding but that if the sun comes out then I’d be able to take off my hoodie. Some people also throw on a coat. Honestly, most days I probably should bring a coat on top of my hoodie because it is really cold in the mornings. But since I know that it’ll usually warm up, I overestimate my cold tolerance and tough it out.

Basically the key to dressing for Tacoma’s constantly changing weather is to pile on layers that you can take off later once the weather warms up. And of course, RTC has a bunch of awesome basics that are just perfect for that ☺

Why I love linQ (and everything that goes along with it!) redtagcrazy.com blog

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

Okay, so if any of you have been around while a new linQ item has popped up onto the screen, you know what it’s like around here.

It’s sheer, absolute chaos. But, for a very, very good reason.

linQ, as Michelle has mentioned in a previous blog, is a line created by Carol Little in LA. It’s soft, sexy and beautiful.

And somehow, it doesn’t seem to sell out at department stores and boutiques.

But, I’m seriously okay with that. Because, as I floated around all day yesterday in my linQ cashmere sweater, I realized that I would’ve debated on,wholesale mac makeup, then decided against, buying it at its full price of $150.

Yeah, that’s right. That cashmere blend sweater on RTC that’s going for $54.

And, that’s only part of it. Over 100 of the soft, mac makeup, flowy linQ skirts have sold on RTC. Which means that people actually were able to touch these, try them on…

…and still passed them up.

This is something that’s beyond baffling to me. And I’m very, very much not a broomstick skirt girl. But, it’s softer than heaven, the BF thinks it’s sexy and gorgeous… really, what more can I ask for from a piece of clothing?

In fact, I think tomorrow, I’ll be wearing the linQ skirt with my linQ tux top.

I’m psyched just thinking about it.

Alright, and on a totally non-related side note, I was surfing I Can Has Cheezburger today, mac makeup wholesale, and I found the LOLCat version of me. I had to share it:

How to College to Real world Pt. 2 redtagcrazy.com blog

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

So we’ve already talked about how to make room for more awesome clothes… But now once there’s room, where do you shop?

Obviously, RTC has to be your first stop. This is the best place to find good designer items(especially some fantastic basics!!) for cheap. Be sure to sign up for all the alerts you can,mac makeup wholesale, so you’ll never miss another Vince Muscle T again.

For some of us, it’s about easing yourself out of the juniors section and into the Misses section. Instead of diving right it, find some good ‘transition’ stores with high quality items. I’m a big fan of Express and J.Crew for these reasons. Be sure to sign up for their coupons! I’ve gotten some of my favorite items using those. Both also have an online shopping option. so if you’re a little phobic about large crowds (like me!), this is a great option. If you really want to shop, definitely try and go during sale times. Your selection might be limited, but it’s worth it to get a $10 button up or a $15 pencil skirt.

Looking for a more ‘grown up’ formal gown without a grown up budget? go to:halfofhalf.com and see if there’s one in your area, mac makeup! I love this store SO much. I have gotten Laundry and BCBG dresses there for $50 or less.

Transitioning  your wardrobe is really all about investing in quality. (See my first post for more on that). Don’t feel like you need to throw out and replace your wardrobe in one day! Slowly phase things out, and slowly buy those pieces that are going to shape your fashionista life.

It takes patience-but I promise it’s so worth it in the end, wholesale mac makeup!

Emily’s RedTagCrazy Story and Photos! redtagcrazy.com blog

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

Like many of you out there, I am undeniably a RTC addict. Every time that I am on my computer (and let me tell you that is a lot since I am also addicted to my dear puter) the RTC window is open. Sometimes I bring my laptop to class for the sole purpose of checking in. During a busy day away from my room I swing by the library to sneak a peek at what items are up. I often time daily activities around how much time is left on a sale. And when I am forced to be away from the computer for an extended length of time I agonize over what I might be missing, both in terms of clothing and CC gossip.

However, I am also probably different from many of you in that April 21 marked the three month anniversary (minus one day) of my discovery of RTC and also the day of my VERY FIRST PURCHASE. Now you may be wondering how in the !&$@ I managed to go an entire three months of obsessive window shopping, watching all of those gorgeous cloths pass by without giving in to the giant pink BUY IT button even once. I will justify this mainly by the fact that I am an extremely broke college student with absolutely no form of income. I have already bought waaay too much this year prior to my RTC discovery and I have been trying very hard to be a (semi) good girl and avoid dipping into the savings account, so I’ve been holding out for the perfect item, which I knew would come. There have been some items that I desperately wanted but invoked all my human strength to resist, such as the linQ hooded jacket (omg I still pine after this).

Finally, on linQ day I snagged the linQ Short Puff Sleeve Smock Top on crazy sale during the lightning round. Once I had started my cart, cheap mac makeup, I bought the C&C Fleece 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Top the very next day! (see below for pictures)

Now that I have officially made my first purchases I am going to try to be more vocal around here and stop being such a lurker. So, since I feel kind of like a creeper because I know so much about many of you but none of you really know me, here are a few things about me: I am from California, Bay Area/Oakland specifically, but I am currently finishing up my junior year at a small liberal arts college in Ohio (big change I know) where I major in environmental studies. I love animals, especially my beloved doggie, mac makeup wholesale, horses, and baby tapirs! Oh, and I’m phoenix88 on CC so look for me!

Here are my purchases:

(I’m a little shy about showing my face still, but maybe one day soon…Also please excuse any awkwardness, self-timing in a tiny single dorm room is quite challenging I discovered.)

linQ Short Puff Sleeve Smock Top in Putty, size L

This item is currently up on crazy sale as I am writing this and I can’t believe there are even three left because I love this top. I must admit, blasphemous as it may be, I am not a huge fan of linQ, but after receiving this shirt I may have to reconsider. It is super, super soft and the perfect mixture of flowy and fitted so it hugs the curves but disguises any problem areas (read: the permanent food baby I am carrying). I am 5′11” and I’m pretty sure I can pull this off as a *short* dress, which is pretty exciting, otherwise I will pair it with leggings. Snag this while you can ladies!!

C&C Fleece 3/4 Sleeve Scoop Top in Panzy, wholesale mac makeup, size L

I’m a big fan of C&C so when I came home from a class on the school farm and this was up with under 5 minutes to go I panicked and bought it, and I’m so glad that I did! Like the linQ it has great shape but drapes nicely and I love the wide neckline. I can tell already that I am going to get a lot of wear out of this one.

Erin’s Fourth RedTagCrazy Package (non-LinQ) redtagcrazy.com blog

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

Here’s part two of my fourth package!

Finally the non-LinQ items:

Aude Hudson Tank Top – White – Size 1

I love this tank. It’s very dressy, and I love the thin straps at the top, that still conceal the bra straps. When I first put it on, I felt like a million bucks. It’s so soft and comfortable, but I would note that it was a tiny bit tight! When I put it on the first time, a few stitches popped, so you have to be careful with it, and as you can tell, wholesale mac makeup, it is a bit sheer on the bottom – time to tone up, Erin. In any case, I can’t wait to play around with jewelry and accessories – anyone have any suggestions?

Aude Madden Racerback Tank – Creme – Size 1

Another winner. I can’t wait to wear this under other shirts (for example, the Aude Faye 3/4 in Coffee in my cart now!) or even by itself when it gets to be summer. I love racerbacks – I just think they give such a good figure and of course provide some extra air when it’s really hot out! Now I just need a good crossback bra to wear…

Paige Premium Denim San Marino Jeans in Black Overdye – Size 26

Yes, I was worried these wouldn’t fit. And yes, they are a bit tight. However, with a flowy top to conceal the muffin top, I am perfectly content with these jeans. They were a steal on crazy sale, and they are perfect for wearing in front of clients at work. So next step is… address the massive inseam and make it more fun-sized like me…

Zlush Signature Skull Button Skirt – Black – Size 3 (not pictured)

Okay, sue me… I didn’t get a picture of myself in the infamous Zlush skirt. I promise that the first time I wear it out, I’ll have someone take a picture of me. To be honest, I didn’t know what to wear with it, so I skipped it altogether. It does fit amazingly though, so I am happy about that. Now I just need an excuse to wear it!

Three pieces of sad news – I am returning the LinQ Lurex Long Sleeve V Neck Tee – Sapphire – XS,cheap mac makeup, the LinQ Crisscross dress – Emerald – Size XS and the LinQ Tier Slip Dress – Black – Size XS. The V Neck was absolutely gorgeous but way too baggy for my taste. The Crisscross dress was adorable but too small in the arms for me, and it just didn’t hit me the right way through the back. The Tier dress was a bit too big,mac makeup wholesale, so it looked like I was a little girl playing dress up. All are really pretty and I am a little disappointed, but luckily it’ll give another lucky girl a chance to snag one!

My next cart is starting to fill up – can’t wait to get back to you all with the next batch

1. My sisters are my best friends. I’m one of “those” people – and proud of it.

2. I’m a Minnesotan by birth, self-proclaimed Chicagoan by fate.

3. Northwestern University is the best school in the Big 10 Conference, and possibly in the country. Why? Because I said so.

5. I’m a Pi Phi and I drink the Pi Phi Kool-Aid.

My RTC Items! redtagcrazy.com blog

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

I have been the model for RTC for almost nine months now and have been fortunate enough to try on every single item in every single color variation that has been put up on the site since RTC started using models (lucky… I know!). But it has been EXTREMELY difficult to not buy every item I try on! I wish I could choose just one item that is my absolute favorite, but I can’t. I LOVE everything I own from RTC. Since I don’t get to share with you what I get in my “shipments” in a shipments blog, I decided to write a blog about a few of the items I have accumulated over the past couple of months. Here it goes! In no particular order…

1. Aude Carol Tank in Sky Size 1

I love this top from Aude, cheap mac makeup! It was my first Aude purchase. One of the main reasons I got it is because it’s a racer back and I am addicted to racer back tanks! They are my absolute favorite style of tops. This particular one is so soft and comfortable! I love the little detailing in the front, which gives the top a little bit of character. I loved it so much I took it to one of my modeling photo shoots!

2. Zensei Rhine studded Ribbed Tank in White size 2

Another one of my favorite tanks! Zensei is so comfortable that I love wearing it to the gym! Zensei is perfect for going to the gym or yoga class. What caught my attention on this top was the rhine studded detailing. I am a sucker for shiny things! The inspiring quotes and sayings from Zensei make me relax and stay positive whenever I’m wearing it.

3. Kitson Roll Me Denim in size 28

Yes, the ones with the 3-inch rise! Exaggerating a bit,mac makeup, but the rise is very short. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of me wearing these, except the image from the site. These are the only pair of Kitson’s that we have had on RTC, and I am so glad I snagged them! They are amazingly comfortable and the pocket detailing is so adorable! I admit that they are a tad bit low, but I am the type that likes to wear longer tanks for my longer torso so nothing hangs out. They are the perfect inseam for me, although I do roll them up a little when I wear sneakers, but in my heels, it couldn’t be any more perfect!

4. BB Dakota Blackcap Leopard Hoodie in size Medium

First off, let me start by saying that this hoodie is SOOOO warm! I absolutely love it. I took it with me to the snow when I went snowboarding and I was not the least bit chilly. I love anything animal prints and this was so perfect for me! If its chilly but not too cold, I wear it with just a tank and it still keeps me warm. It is reversible, wholesale mac makeup, but I always wear it with the leopard print side out. I also love the banded bottom and wrists. If I had to pick my favorite item I have had from RTC, this would probably be it. Love, love, LOVE it!

Those are the only items I have pictures of, but a few other items from RTC that I own include For Joseph Del Mar Twill Rosetta Short (Pearl Grey, size 4), linQ Racer Banded Tank (Electric Blue, Size X-Small), and linQ Rib Draped Jacket (Black, Size X-Small).

I hope this helped give you a little taste of my own personal style. Happy Shopping!

Take Me Out to the Ballgame – RTC Style – Part 3 redtagcrazy.com blog

redtagcrazy.com

current sale alerts blog my account

Okay, here is the thing. After waiting so long to get married (31) and then waiting a few more years to start a family (something I recommend if at all possible, cheap mac makeup!), I was up there at 34 and 36 when I had my boys. Possibly it is my delayed jump into motherhood that caused my lack of foresight, but somehow, the fact that I would be spending the majority of my summers running from one baseball game to another has completely taken me by surprise. And I do mean the majority! With my older son making the all-star team and my younger son’s seasons getting a late start due to all the rain (where is global warming when you need it!), I have realized that I will be attending games until the end of July/beginning of August.

So, I have accepted this reality. But, it does not mean I have to go down in a fashion defeat. Therefore, I decided to rise to the occasion, wholesale mac makeup, take all my great acquisitions from RedTagCrazy, and embark on my own Baseball Season Fashion Adventure.

Although it would be vastly more simple to just throw on the t-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes for games days, I find I am just incapable of this simplicity (is it bad that when my husband asked me if I wanted one of my son’s team shirts to wear to games I said only if they came in girly sizes…?).

Here are my latest outfits. It has been so hit and miss with rained out games, rescheduled games, overlapping games – but I finally managed to put together four more outfits!

Honey Joe’s Jeans, cino Ruffle Silk Shirt in Turquoise

Okay, this outfit is kind of a cheat because I actually was coming from a business meeting prior to the game.  However,  I included it because I actually did wear it to a game, and yes, I did navigate the bleachers in 3″ heels with out breaking my neck!

James Jeans Capris, Aude Kathy Tee in Pink and linQ Ruffle Cardigan in Grey

This is not my usual color combination, but the James Jeans have a light pink stitching, thus the pink tee.  With the crazy cool weather, I have continued to need an extra layer for night games, so I added the grey cardi – one of my favorite linQ purchases from Spring Day.

Oh, and my fellow model, mac makeup wholesale, showing off his pitching extension!

With my new Linea Pelle Bag

Adriano Goldschmied Libery Crops, Vince Tank in Brown, Aude Geller Short Sleeve Tee in White and linQ Short Sleeve Hoodie in Mushroom.

There is possibly nothing better than a Vince shirt layered with an Aude Shirt!  Softness on softness.  And here again is my linQ hoodie – can’t say enought about the versitility of this item!

daNang Silk Cargos in Green, linQ Victorian Tank, linQ Short Sleeve Hoodie, Jessica Simpson Black Daria Wedge Shoes

Can’t always wear jeans (says the girl who has a closet full of them!) But, I don’t suggest wearing this outfit to a game where sitting on rough bleachers is required!
